To continue with the patchwork theme. Here's a picture of Bluebell on one of my favourite items. It's a 30's quilt I bought from Louise Loves a couple of years ago. I never tire of looking at it. Actually, I don't really like Bluebell on it because she leaves a trail of fluff and bits wherever she sleeps, but as you all know the house is full of dust and bits at the moment so a few Bluebell-bits won't make a scrap of difference!
Many thanks for all your funny stories about your very own bathroom renevations. They really did make me chuckle and at least I haven't had to use a bucket in the shed (thanks for that one Julie) or use the bath as a coffee table (treasured tip courtesy of Tracy). I always imagine that everybody else's homes always look immaculate and ours is the only one that is a "work in progress". You would think I'd be used to it by now, after 15 years of it, but I'm not. I hate the disruption and they way we have to have 15 sheets of plaster board leaning against the wall when we could probably plasterboard the whole house 3 times with this amount.
The toys have had a wash and are feeling a lot better about themselves now.
Despite the banging and crashing coming from above, I only occasionally glimpse a ghostly view of Roland wreathed in trails of atmospheric dust. Then this apparition falls into bed beside me at some ungodly hour muttering things about noggins and waste pipes. The bathroom is looking better as the Tiler has worked his magic but the mess is considerable. . .but I'm not going to worry about it too much as Alexei and I off to Dubai tomorrow to visit my sister. Roland is staying at home as he has to go back to flight school next week plus of course he has all that mess to clear up.
I can't wait to see my sis, we always have a great time. I don't really like flying much . . .need a gin or two to calm me down. Yes, I know, I hate flying yet the other half loves it so much he's becoming a pilot. We are fast becoming the odd couple.
Have a great weekend wherever you are!
