So sorry to hear about your cat. I know I would be devastated if either of ours had to go. She looks like she was an absolute darling, i'm sure you have lots of fond memories.x

Anita

Its so sad when you lose a pet. She looked a gorgeous cat. x

Oh what a dear friend she must have been! I am a 'cat woman' with three of my own and a supporter of the cat protection league. But you gave her a great life and you will be blessed for doing so!
I hope that the fun and warmth of the upcoming season helps.

I'm so sad reading about the loss of your precious and adorable Bluebell.
What a funny character she was, and such great memories for you all to cherish.

Hello, I've only just found your blog and I wanted to say although it is lovely to find you here, I am so sorry to read about Bluebell. She looks so lovely, and I can only imagine the sadness at having to say goodbye.

I have my housebunny, Humphrey, who is six now and we are so very close, I can't even think about anything ever happening to him.

Love Charlotte

I read your post with great sadness. I am a cat person and understand how much they mean to us, they are part of the family. Our 16 year old cat Pixie had to be put to sleep last year, a great loss for us. All the things that you said about thinking Bluebell was right there then the awful realisation.. I remember how painful that felt. I know everyone says this and it probably is not of some comfort yet but it does get easier with time. You never forget them though. The ones I had as a child still have a special place in my heart.
Thinking of you
Take care

Claire we're all so sorry for your loss of Bluebell. The cupcakes and i really loved her, she was such a soft and gentle old lady.
I haven't had the heart to tell Molly and Daisy about it yet. Maybe next time we visit would be better.
It's lovely that your having her ashes with you, i find it comforts me knowing i have Ronnies/Dougel's here with me and anywhere we move too. Until oneday i can pop him in the ground and grow a tree above. But that won't happen until we buy somewhere of our own.
Hope to catch up with you soon lovely lady, Daisy is unwell at the moment, but maybe next week before the Vintage fair.
Lots of love.

I'm so sorry to read about Bluebell - but what a lovely long life she had with you - lucky cat to be so well loved & cared for.

Your new cards are lovely, as are the pretty mushroom decorations. Looking forward to seeing you at the fair again.

I have been reading your blog for a couple of months only. I am so sorry to hear about your beloved cat, Bluebell. We had to say good-bye to our dear cat this fall too. They are such a wonderful gift of pure friendship. May your memories keep her forever in your heart.

Woo

I'm really sorry to hear about Bluebell. I have been catching up with your blog. I hope you are well.

I know its really late to say this, I'm sorry (I'm doing some catching up) but sweet lovely Claire I really feel sad for you and your boys..felines and other! x
We too, have a very old skinny lady cat in this house and I know that awful decision will have to be made sometime soon. What a lovely photo to find on your camera though.
Love the cards and the pretties too(so glad you are doing the toadstool decs again this year) Best of luck with the fair on Saturday...awwww how I wish I could go!

awww - Sairer - I hate to think that you might have to go through the same soon. :-(

I am comforted that it was the right thing to do. It is terrible to see someone you love, animal or human, fade away in front of your eyes. After all, you suffered a far greater loss when you lost your niece. I remember that amazing film that had her words on. What an amazing gift she left us all.

I wish you could be there on Saturday too but its been nice to catch up even if it is just online.

I am so sorry to hear about your beloved cat.. I can totally empathise with your mourning the loss of another female in the family.
It is so hard to say goodbye to our four legged friends. I often say.. what will we do when my beloved Pickles passes away. I cannot imagine life without him..he is my constant companion.
I am so looking forward to seeing you again on Saturday..Hope you have a safe journey Claire.

I know I have never commented on here before but I wanted to say that I'm sorry to hear about your cat. I have two dogs and a cat as well and don't know what I would do without their company. I'm sure you did the right thing.

Gep

I am so sorry to hear about your Bluebell. My cat (Willie) died two weeks ago, so I know how you feel. My husband wanted to get another cat back in the house right away, so we went down to the local shelter and adopted two new kitties. They are doing their best to entertain us with their antics, and are helping our hearts to heal.

Your mushroom tree ornaments are so cute!

Elaine

I drop by your blog for a catch up at times as I love all your creative works. So sad to hear about Bluebell - it is always so terrible when a dear animal friend leaves us.
